Esta serie comenzó en una hoja en blanco, acuarela y las ganas de ir a un lugar desconocido. Hasta ese momento había explorado sobre mi propia existencia y oscuridad, algunas veces lograba saber algo más sobre mi sombra… pero siempre reflejaba eso, una sombra.

Con el paso de los días fui creando una nueva forma de comunicarme, con el color que también habita en mí.

Entonces algo cambió: lo que era mío empezó a ser suyo.

Monstrarium Vivens fue tomando forma propia, desde la acuarela, el acrílico, la plata y la cerámica. Cada inhabitante del Codex —el universo vivo de Monstrarium Vivens— es algo interior que ha decidido salir, dejar de ser sombra y volverse forma, color, materia.

Ahora sigo siendo parte de su proceso, pero ya no soy su origen. Solo intento no perderle el paso.

This series began with a blank page, watercolor, and the desire to go somewhere unknown. Until then, I had explored my own existence and darkness, sometimes managing to learn something more about my shadow… but it always reflected just that, a shadow.

As the days passed, I found a new way to communicate, through the color that also lives within me.

Then something changed: what was mine began to be its own.

Monstrarium Vivens took on a life of its own, through watercolor, acrylic, silver, and ceramics. Each inhabitant of the Codex —the living universe of Monstrarium Vivens— is something interior that has decided to emerge, to stop being shadow and become form, color, matter.

I am still part of its process, but I am no longer its origin. I am just trying not to fall behind.
