ENGLISH:

MONSTRARIUM VIVENS
An ever-growing artistic system inhabited by entities that attain a configuration of their own and acquire existence within the project. Monstrarium Vivens began in watercolor and has expanded into ceramic and silver, allowing the same Inhabitant to move through different materials, scales, and surfaces. Its development continues through the appearance of new Inhabitants, territories, objects, relationships, and forms of manifestation.

INHABITANT / INHABITANTS
Entities that inhabit Monstrarium Vivens. Each Inhabitant possesses an identity, a configuration, and a particular way of existing. Some embody human fears, states, or conflicts; others appear without a defined correspondence. Their existence may remain tied to a single manifestation or extend across different materials.

INHABITANT IGNOTO / INHABITANTS IGNOTOS
Inhabitants whose existence has been recognized within Monstrarium Vivens while part of their identity remains unknown. Their record may be limited to a single manifestation and may still lack a name, habitat, known behavior, or later developments. Ignoto refers precisely to that which exists while remaining partially unknown. Its use allows them to enter the Codex while preserving intact the spaces where information is still absent.

CODEX MONSTRORUM
The living archive of Monstrarium Vivens. It gathers and documents the Inhabitants recognized throughout the development of the project. Each entry may contain a name, image, characteristics, habitat, behavior, taxonomy, and material manifestations. The Codex grows with each new appearance and also preserves what remains incomplete, unknown, or still in the process of revealing itself.

TAXONOMY
A system of observation, description, and classification used to study the Inhabitants within the Codex Monstrorum. It records what is known of each one, from anatomy, proportions, and distinguishing traits to behavior, habitat, conditions of appearance, and material manifestations. Each taxonomy may expand as new information emerges.

HABITAT
The place or territory within Monstrarium Vivens to which an Inhabitant belongs. Its conditions of light, matter, space, time, and atmosphere are connected to the nature of the one that inhabits it. Some habitats are known with precision; others remain only partially recorded.

MANIFESTATION
The visual or material form through which an Inhabitant acquires a recognizable presence. A watercolor, a ceramic piece, a piece of jewelry, or any other medium developed within Monstrarium Vivens may constitute a manifestation. The same Inhabitant may move through different materials while preserving the fundamental traits of its configuration. Each manifestation may be recorded within the Codex Monstrorum.

DEPOSITARY
A status assigned to a manifestation of Monstrarium Vivens that is available to enter a collection and pass into the care of a Custodio Vivens. Depositary refers to the status of that manifestation within the system of custody and does not alter the Inhabitant’s place within the Codex Monstrorum.

CUSTODIO VIVENS
A person who receives into their care a manifestation belonging to Monstrarium Vivens. Its incorporation into a collection establishes a documented relationship between the Inhabitant, the material manifestation, and its Custodio Vivens.

IN CUSTODY
The status of a manifestation that has passed into the care of a Custodio Vivens. The Inhabitant’s record remains within the Codex Monstrorum, while the manifestation continues to be documented as part of its material corpus.

ORIGINAL MANIFESTATION OF A CODEX MONSTRORUM INHABITANT
A designation used on certificates of authenticity to identify an original work linked to an Inhabitant registered within the Codex Monstrorum. The designation applies to the certified material manifestation and preserves the distinction between the Inhabitant and each of the physical or visual forms it may assume.
