ENGLISH:
Varek emerges from a region of Monstrarium Vivens that is difficult to locate, a territory where forms lose clarity and space seems to extend farther than it should. It inhabits damp expanses, low mist, distant structures, and places that seem to remain after something whose origin no one remembers anymore. The ground holds water and reflects fragments of the landscape. Distance is deceptive. Some paths seem to draw closer and end up leading farther away. Varek knows these deviations and moves through them with ease.
Its body is blue, tall, and disproportionate. Two extremely long legs support a compact torso from which thin, flexible arms extend, ending in long fingers. Its head projects forward, and an open mouth reveals small, sharp teeth. It has one tiny eye. Its appearance creates an immediate unease, although it is difficult to identify exactly which part of it causes that feeling. Varek can remain exposed and, a few moments later, blend into the depth of the place. It is elusive. It always seems to know an exit the others have not yet seen.
Varek moves alone and rarely stays in the same place for long. The mist around its legs makes its contact with the ground imprecise and makes it difficult to tell when it is still and when it has begun to move away. Its presence is often felt before it can be located. Something shifts in the perception of space, an uneasiness appears without a recognizable cause, and what seemed buried begins to move closer.
Varek embodies deep and hidden fears.
Its territory includes those fears a person carries without ever fully managing to identify them, including those that remain outside conscious thought for years. Varek can contain any fear. Some have a recognizable origin. Others survive as sensations, images, impulses, incomplete memories, or threats whose form was lost over time. It also holds the fears that have never been spoken because naming them would mean admitting they are there.
This is why Varek remains difficult to understand even when it is close. Each encounter can activate something different. Its presence finds what was already hidden and brings it closer to the surface. An old fear may return distorted, mixed with others, transformed into a sensation the body recognizes before the mind does.
Its habitat reproduces that same condition. The fog conceals parts of the terrain, the water alters reflections, and distant structures offer few points of reference for orientation. Something always remains outside the field of vision. Varek makes use of that depth. It slips between visible areas and uncertain spaces, appears partially, and disappears again.
Within Monstrarium Vivens, Varek has found different formations. It first appeared on paper through watercolor and later acquired a body in ceramic. Its blue remains, as do its long limbs, its small eye, and the mouth that introduces a physical threat rarely seen among the Inhabitants. Each material fixes for a time what, by its nature, tries to slip away.
Varek continues moving through the deep regions of Monstrarium Vivens, among water, mist, and distance. It carries with it what remains hidden even from the person who contains it. Sometimes seeing it for a single moment is enough to remember that something was still there.
